In the book, The Immortal Life of Hienrietta Lacks, the scientists who extracted her cells unfortunately neglected to inform her family on the procedures they had acted upon. The Lacks family was left with nothing but confusion and distraught over the passing of Hienrietta. The family eventually discovered what really happened to their mother through top notch investigators uncovering the truth. If it was one of my family members, I would be furious knowing that something was taken from them after their life ended. This type of action would be unacceptable and unprofessional. I would like action to be taken against the doctors even if they were using it for the greater good. How would you feel if someone robbed you of something in your house so they could use it of their own gain?

I completly agree with you on what your saying here and i think most people would agree it's wrong to take somthing from somebodys body without the consent of the person or family. but the doctors didnt use it for their own gain really they didnt really profit off of her cells other companies did that reproduced them. otherwise i completly agree with you.
